How do refunds work when I cancel a subscription?

Modified on Mon, 20 Jul at 8:49 PM

When you cancel a subscription through Subpilot, our system checks whether a refund may be possible as part of the cancellation process.

  1. Go to the Subscriptions section and cancel the subscription you no longer want.

  2. If the cancellation is completed successfully, Subpilot's system may automatically attempt to request a refund on your behalf.

  3. If a refund is negotiated successfully with the merchant, it will typically cover your most recent subscription bill.

Important to know

  • Refunds are not guaranteed — they depend on the merchant's policies and whether an agreement can be reached at the time of cancellation.

  • Only the most recent rebill is eligible for a refund attempt; earlier charges are not included.

  • You don't need to request a refund separately — if one is possible, it's handled automatically as part of the cancellation flow.
